I was listening to Marty Griffin’s show the other day, and he said something that was really profound, and I agree with him.  Marty was talking about the President’s fund-raiser in Sewickley Heights and the millions he would raise from people paying $10,000 to get their picture taken with him.  Now, the President isn’t the first to do this, and he’s not the only one to do this.  Preidents, Vice President’s and politicians all raise money this way and the money goes into political war chests to get party members reelected.  How about a challenge to whom-ever becomes the next President of the US.  Whether it’s Clinton, Obama or McCain:  When you get in that big White House, how about having a fundraiser for Americans.  For highways…for hurricane victims…you name it.  There are many causes greater than getting politicians elected or reelected.  I challenge you.  But it will never happen.
