Today Amy and I were communicating via computer.  And I thought I’d show her how hip I was by using text speak.  So responding to one of her instant messages I hip-lee typed gr8 instead of great.  To which she responded with a litany of text message speak which took me forever to figure out.  I mean, I don’t get all this text message stuff.  Young people seem to text more than they talk!  Isn’t it easier to just pick up the phone and call the person and talk to them?  Instead of picking up the phone…looking at the phone…opening the phone…text messaging the response – I mean come on here!  This is the 21^st century!  But then again, that’s what my kids would say to be – this is the 21^st century – talking on the phone is SO 70’s.  All right time to do the show, c u on the r8io.
