I want to thank John Shumway for being the ONLY broadcaster who seemed to give due respect to the crews that have been working around the clock to restore power to the 90,000 people of Pittsburgh. Yes, it has been frustrating but being a spouse of a Duquesne Light employee, and not having power but watching him work 16 hour shifts (which are really 18 hours) and barely getting 5 hours of sleep per DAY since Thursday, I truly appreciate your understanding tone and compassion when you were speaking with Joe this a.m.. I think that if some of the images showed the damage to the poles and lines
I think the tunnel is a waste of money. Help the people of pgh. that really need and quit spending money foolishly. The people of Pittsburgh need help desperately. Put the money where it is needed!!!!!!
We should worry about our bridges now and not later! Our city has renovated everything but the bridges. Put the time and effort to look over the bridges thoroughly!!!! Don't wait till later!!!!!
I think Wal-mart should not build on 65. The sliding problem is always going to be a problem. That is a partial cemetery on the location. Let them rest in peace. There are other locations they can consider to build on and not one with so many problems!!!!!
your interview with Aimee Kaczmarek, Seneca Valley

Thank you for interviewing one of the teachers from Seneca Valley. Aimee Kaczmarek was a perfect choice to represent the teachers...I taught with this wonderful teacher before retiring and believe that the sincere answers she gave to your questions were indicative of the positive feelings the majority of the teachers have. Good for you, Larry and John! I appreciate fair questions and time to answer...as opposed to dialogue which is one sided and interviews that are attacking.
You are always a class act...thank you again!
Larry: I was glad to hear the segment on generic drugs this a.m. I work for one of the big drug co. and I constatly hear compliants about big profit. Your guest clarified the millions/billions of dollars that it cost to bring the branded drugs to market. Thank you!

Hey Larry and John - I heard your interview with the Mayor this mroning. I want you to know, I sent him an email exchanging 2 Steeler Tickets to ANY home game for 2 tickets to the Kentucky Derby!! I think that was more than fair!! He never even responded!! I think you should get him back on the radio tomorrow and ask him why he passed up such an opportunity!!!
What a pleasent surprise to hear you guys talk about Westsylvania!! In 1776, 1,991 signed a petition to the 1st Congress to create this 14th colony. It was turned down, the root of why we get little from D.C.!! It never included Kentucky, and I will send you one of the few source pamplets on it, including map. 3 great-g of mine signed it. Let's discuss it more..Jim Scahill, Kittanning
I don't like the concept of de-barking a dog, it sounds like the dog is coughing. However, we know people that own show dogs and they tell you that a barking dog is not permitted to in a hotel. There are breeds that bark more than others. You are not left with many options if you have to stay somewhere over night and you will be removed if the dog barks. If the state passes a law that a dog cannot be de-barked, the bill would also have to include a clause that states that any dog would be permitted to be in a hotel - even if it barks. We were in a hotel in Columbus, OH a few years ago wher
On Tuesday I returned from visiting the Banff/Calgary area with Lois Elder of AAA. She told us about your visit last year at the Columbia Icefield and while there, we saw where the babushka lady was buried, feet up!!
John...
I left Dubois heading back to the'Burgh yesterday and topped off at $3.74/gal. As I drove through the Brookville interchange, I looked to my right and saw signs for $3.51...$3.51!! What's up in Brookville and why don't the rest of us know about it??
I have been irked since this morning when I heard the interview with the Sunoco station owner explaining why the price of gas has not dropped. He stated that the gasoline has not left the pipeline yet and it has to be refined etc. Then, if that is the case, why did they raise the price nanoseconds after the price of a barrel of oil had risen. I sense something is foul in the oil industry. You should not have it both ways.
Larry: This is an issue that no one has addressed yet and that is very important to the public that is contemplating leasing their acreage for the Marcellus Shale. The landowners are not informed that they can reserve their shallow gas formations, their coalbed methane rights, and the formations below the Marcellus Shale if any exists. Most of the leases that are currently being taken include all formations and gives compelet control of future development of the oil and gas on a property to a company and not to the property owner. It is important that landowners know that they can reserve
About a month ago, Larry spoke to a man regarding gas prices and asked him why don't the prices go down when the price of oil is going down, he was told that it takes time to extract the oil, refine it and get it into the tanks to realize the decrease in price. What surpirsed me was that Larry didn't follow-up that answer with the comment that when the 'threat' of oil prices going up, they increase what is in the tanks (take this weekend regarding IKE for example) They don't wait for the more expensive oil/gas to get in the tanks before they rbbmvaaise it!
Marty and Larry, they aren't helping the kids by giving them 50% scores that they did not earn. If they want to give the kids a chance to pass the class after some bad test scores, why don't they just throw out the two lowest grades per subject instead???
Is there a reason no one mentions that President Obama is only a HALF Aferican American. should we forget that he also has a white Heritage?. He is NOT the first African American president! Is is the first biracial President
Barack Obama may be half white, but he does not look the least bit like a white person. I have a friend who is half black, half white, and he looks nothing like Obama. My friend looks like a REAL half black-half white person. If someone looked at Barack Obama, he would NOT think that he is half white. NO! He would immediately think he is a regular African American. That is why no one thinks of the half-white part of him.
Hi:
I was listening this morning when you had that woman on who was talking about the "Osacars".
What she did not tell you, and this is why i think that Harvey Milk got shot; he was an openly gay political activist. She deliberately left out that fact. And, that was offensive to me.
CHEERS,Dave
No one should be allowed to own a MONKEY as a pet! That is just not the kind of pet that anyone should own. Just as Dr. Mike said, we should not be allowed to own exotic animals as pets. That is just stupid. Unless you are a professional, it should be against the law to own these kind of animals as pets. Hopefully, this story with the woman attacked by a monkey will show everyone the danger of owning non-domestic animals as pets.
I can't wait to see what's going to happen to Barry Bonds. I am pretty sure he took steroids, but..."innocent until proven guilty." Let's wait and see what happens, then talk.
I am very dissappointed with A-Rod. I had always thought that he had never taken drugs. He even said so on 60 minutes. Now that we found out about how he took drugs, he looks worse because of his lies. I liked A-Rod a lot, but now...not so much.
