HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) - The safety ratings of the state's 25,000 bridges are now public.
That's after state highway officials reversed a long policy of keeping the information confidential.
PennDOT had previously disclosed the identity of the state's bridges that are considered structurally deficient, or in need of repair.
Almost a quarter of Pennsylvania's 25,000 state-owned bridges that measure eight feet or longer are considered structurally deficient.
PennDOT says about 800 bridges have weight or lane restrictions and 54 are closed.
Officials say that all the bridges that are open are safe for motorists to use. You can see the full list and get more information on the report right here.
